1. You were made to know God personally—not just know about Him.
God’s Desire: A Relationship With You.
God is not distant or uninterested—He desires a personal relationship with you. God loves you deeply. He created you for a meaningful, abundant life. He offers eternal life through Him “God so loved the world… that whoever believes… shall have eternal life.”
2. Even good works, religion, or self-improvement cannot bridge this gap.
The Problem: Sin Separates Us From God.
If God loves us, why don’t we naturally experience that relationship? Every person has sinned. Sin is choosing our own way instead of God’s. Sin separates us from God spiritually “All have sinned…” “The wages of sin is death.”
3. Jesus bridges the gap between us and God.
God’s Solution: Jesus Christ God didn’t leave us separated—He made a way.
Jesus Christ died in our place. He paid the penalty for our sin. He rose from the dead. He is the only way back to God“Christ died for us…” “I am the way… no one comes to the Father except through Me.”
4. This is not just intellectual belief—it’s a personal decision.
Our Response: Receive Jesus Personally
Knowing these truths is not enough—we must respond.
To begin a relationship with God:
Turn from self (repentance)
Trust Jesus as Savior and Lord
Personally receive Him by faith
“To all who received Him… He gave the right to become children of God.”
5. The key is not the exact words—but a sincere heart of faith.
The Invitation: You Can Respond Right Now.
You can begin this relationship today.Prayer is simply talking to God. If this expresses your heart, you can pray:
“Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life and make me the person You want me to be.”
6. What Happens When You Receive Christ.
